The percent increase in suicide rates for females was greatest for those aged 10–14 years.2 A review of youth suicides in 2014 revealed the greatest number and percentage of death was among youth age 15 to 24 years old, with 5079 youths in this age group having died from suicide as compared with 425 children age 10–14 years.1
