AB Infections  of  the  cornea  (i.e.,  infectious  keratitis)  are  potentially  sight  threatening.  They  require  prompt  diagnosis  and  adequate  treatment  to  prevent  permanent  compromise  of  vision.  In  the  following  chapter,  infections  causing  acute  corneal  infections  are  discussed.
