AB Disorders  of  the  lacrimal  system  are  among  the  most  common  problems  encountered  in  pediatric  ophthalmology.  Approximately  6%  of  infants  are  born  with  nasolacrimal  duct  obstruction  (NLDO).  Many  of  these  will  improve  spontaneously,  but  because  NLDO  is  so  common,  lacrimal  surgery  is  one  of  the  most  frequent  surgical  procedures  performed  by  pediatric  ophthalmologists.
