AB Provide  mechanical  respiratory  support.Obtain  aspirates  for  culture.Assist  in  bronchopulmonary  hygiene  (“pulmonary  toilet”).Alleviate  upper  airway  obstruction  (subglottic  stenosis).Clear  the  trachea  of  meconium.Perform  selective  bronchial  ventilation.Assist  in  the  management  of  congenital  diaphragmatic  hernia  (to  avoid  bowel  distention).Administer  medications  (“NEAL”  or  “LANE”  see  Section  III.O)  in  the  emergency  setting  while  intravenous  access  is  established.Administration  of  surfactant.Management  of  apnea.
